  • Man accused of throwing roofing nails in driveways

    A New York suburban man is accused of lining the end of four residents' driveways with roofing nails. Police have received 40 complaints since 2006 that Michael C. Delisio, 60, has been throwing handfuls of nails into victims' driveways in Stony Point and Haverstraw.

  • Pooch can't wait for opening day at Mets' ballpark

    Jackie the wily pooch is one New Yorker who just couldn't wait until opening day to see the Mets' new stadium. The stray dog was spotted sniffing around Citi Field for several days before animal control officers were sent Wednesday to rescue her. She led them on a run through the stadium, which is still under construction.

  • School bus liquor-store run gets cops' attention

    A school bus driver made an unscheduled stop at a liquor store, then allegedly asked a student to help hide her purchases when police stopped her, the district superintendent said. It does not appear the driver had been drinking, Billings Public Schools Superintendent Jack Copps said. No charges had been filed but the driver quit her job this week.

  • Angry smoker accused of burning 'no smoking' sign

    Medford police said a man set a "No Smoking" sign on fire after being told he could not light up inside a nightclub. The man was charged with reckless burning and disorderly conduct. The Web site for the Jackson County Jail said the 44-year-old remains behind bars on $6,000 bail.

  • Police: Woman tries to firebomb neighbor's house

    Police said a feud among neighbors escalated when a Memphis woman lobbed flaming bottles of gasoline onto a neighbor's house. The woman was being held on $5,000 bond on a charge of aggravated arson after her arrest Tuesday.

    A Pennsylvania man faces up to 37 years in prison now that he's been convicted of tearing open a neighbor's door with a chain saw in a fit of anger over parking.

  • Man accused of urinating on bouncer at Alaska bar

    A 22-year-old Fairbanks man was arrested for allegedly urinating on a bouncer at a bar on Sunday morning. The bouncer at Kodiak Jack's told police that he was trying to remove another man from the bar for causing a disruption.

  • Woman being arrested accused of faking birth pains

    Sioux Falls police trying to arrest a Lincoln, Neb., woman on shoplifting and drug charges said she faked birth pains. Officers were called to The Empire Mall Monday for a report of a woman stealing a key chain. When they searched the 35-year-old woman's purse, they also found pain pills without a prescription.
